Having Longhorn Cattle at Heath Farm was always a dream so we are very proud to now have our own established pedigree herd. Longhorn Cattle have graced the English countryside for centuries and the Longhorn Cattle Society was formed in 1878. Longhorn cattle are the oldest registered Cattle in the world. Hardy and adaptable they have potential are suitable for Conservation management grazing.
This rare native breed, is known for its superior quality which is just one reason why it makes this breed of cattle so special and the best.
It is well known that the intramuscular fat or marbling throughout their meat is largely responsible for the succulence, tenderness & stunning flavour which gives them the hallmarks of a superior quality beef. This is unlike many rival breeds which lay down excessive amounts of external fat before the formation of the intramuscular fat.
The Longhorn breed bring heritage and history back to the Suffolk landscape and they are also a joy to watch as they are inherently graceful and majestic in the meadows.
